In this edition of my weekly podcast roundup, there are 16 new episodes from event industry podcasters. This is an improvement over my previous two roundups, an increase which I hope will continue.
With the pandemic rules being eased, at least in some parts of Europe, and the US continues to struggle with infection rates, the topic of vaccination rules for events is still very important. With this in mind, I consider this episode from Eventful to be very relevant, ‘Why IMEX America Is Requiring Participants to Be Vaccinated‘…
“Carina Bauer, CEO of the Imex Group, spoke with Lisa Grimaldi, Northstar Meeting Group’s incentives and destinations editor, about the decisions that led to the show’s updated health and safety policy; how attendees and exhibitors have reacted to the news (mostly positive!) and how participants will be able to register their vaccination status. Bauer also discussed the hurdles caused by the U.S.’s strict entry requirements for European and U.K. attendees.“
Along with vaccinations, another important topic is marketing budgets. The Event Industry Podcast, with James Dixon and guest Devin Cleary (Bizabo) discuss budget cuts brought on by the pandemic and it’s affects on marketing, ‘How CMOs should prep for the new event world‘…
“In this episode,Devin Cleary discusses budget cuts, which began pre-pandemic, and how chief marketing officers (CMOs) can prepare for this era of redefined events, what the impact of Covid-19’s delta variant on in-person events is likely to be and how event professionals and CMOs can effectively collaborate through that window.“
