Event-tech company, HeadBox, has hit the ground running in the Australian events industry launching in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth over the past 18 months, with Adelaide and Canberra up next.

Originally established in the United Kingdom in 2015, HeadBox launched in Australia in 2021 after the company’s CEO, Ali Lord, experienced the benefits and efficiencies of the platform first-hand while working as Head of Events at Dentsu Aegis UK.

HeadBox CEO Ali Lord, said: “We’ve brought HeadBox to Australia at a time when venues and companies need it most. With six years of successful operation across Europe, we have a beautifully refined platform that will play an integral role in the events landscape across Australia.”

“The platform eliminates the frustrations of the event planning process by connecting people with spaces to make brilliant events happen.”

After a challenging few years for the industry, HeadBox is here to help rebuild the events space by working with venues, event bookers and suppliers across the country. The platform offers venues an ecosystem of products designed to increase exposure and foot traffic, including modern 3D technology and Lead Generation.

Event Sales Manager for Helm Bar and Bistro, Belinda Haberley, uses the platform to her advantage, booking corporate and social clients.

Haberley said: I thoroughly enjoy interacting with the HeadBox products and team. The platform’s Lead Feed functionality has provided us with new business opportunities, allowing us to proactively reach out to new bookers. It’s quick, easy, and is a fantastic tool for lead generation.”

HeadBox’s growing community of corporate clients are supported by end-to-end event planning with event management services available.

Lord said: “Our technology streamlines venue research, digitises proposals, data collection, negotiation, confirmation and payment. Our team and technology support organisations in delivering their annual program of events from the initial event planning stages to end-to-end event management delivery.”

Since launching in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth, HeadBox has seen over $29.8 million dollars worth of events come through the platform since first launch. With this continued success, HeadBox aims to support venues in Canberra and Adelaide increasing their occupancy and driving revenue.
